HUGHES, Babcock Power Ltd With reference to Paper 3, it has been stated that the instrumented tube sections of the test pieces were subject to internal thermal shock cycles in order to assess their fatigue strength. Do the Authors recommend that any similar development rig should also have its instrumented test sections checked for fatigue strength experimentally?
