The paper Design Construction and Commis sioning of PFR as at 14 December, 1973 by myself and Messrs Laithwaite and Nunn from the FRDO at Risley described briefly some features from the latter stages of the design and con struction of PFR but in the main concentrated on the progress of final functional testing and setting to work of the station.

In this presentation today I will bring the conference up to date on the progress of com missioning on PFR. Before starting this how ever let me summarize briefly the position as recorded in the paper which you already have.
