Mr Peter Ferguson, Sir Basil Spence, Glover and Ferguson

An aeroplane is no less of an intrusion on progress between base and destination than a terminal building—surely now better renamed a transit building—both remaining necessary despite the operators' opinion that the perfect building is no building at all.

Knowledge of the physical requirements coupled with the building regulations suggests that 'throw-away' buildings are most unlikely to meet the complex needs of the authorities, the users and the travelling public.

The 'mini-terminal' or satellite when sized for the jumbo aircraft, and bearing in mind delays, will be more like a major terminal.
