A review is given on the theoretical and technical aspects related to seepage control by grouting in the ground. A case study is presented in some detail to show how grouting can be used in controlling seepage through abutments and foundation of a dam. This case study is Wadi Arab dam in Jordan. This paper discusses in some detail both the ‘during construction’ and ‘after service’ grouting works of Wadi Arab dam. This includes the following issues related to grouting at the site: materials used, pressures, type of grouting, dimensions of drilled holes, grouting tests used, and many others.
