Recent work on impact testing of reinforced concrete structures at The Pennsylvania State University is described. Impact tests are conducted using a large scale pendulum facility. Results are summarized for a series of tests on concrete bridge barriers. A project currently underway to investigate loading rate effects on reinforced concrete beams is also briefly described.
