This chapter demonstrates the basic steps taken to create typical urban design diagrams. They are generic in their steps and each individual may produce them differently. The final output, however, is largely the same.

Your masterplan can be illustrated at different levels of grain and accuracy. The examples here show the process of indicative through to definitive.

There are three types of axonometric projection:
