The in situ concrete compressive strengths estimated by NDTs and core tests are influenced by various factors such as carbonation of the concrete surface, stress history and the level of quality control for the concreting operation etc. The significance of the effect of various factors on estimated in situ compressive strength of existing aged concrete structures obtained by core tests and NDTs and the upper limit of coefficient of variation for good quality control for the concreting operations for the test results for NDTs and core tests will be discussed in this chapter.
