BS EN 10025-2:2019

This is arguably one of the most common material standards for steel used in construction; non-alloy structural steels to BS EN 10025-2:2019 are the bread and butter of structural steelwork.

Steels in accordance with BS EN 10025-2 may be supplied with additional qualities (delivery conditions) as indicated below. These are typically relevant to flat products only. Consideration should be given for the impact these conditions may have on the suitability of further processing and heat treatment.

Values for minimum elongation after fracture are given for nominal thicknesses between 3 mm and 40 mm. Values for maximum carbon equivalent value (CEV) are given for nominal product thicknesses ⩽30 mm.
