BS EN 10025-5:2019

Commonly known as weathering steels, or by the familiar trademark ‘Corten’, steels with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance have a chemistry that produces a durable and protective oxide layer. This impairs the corrosion of the material beneath, enhancing the component's lifespan and removing the necessity of painting or galvanising. In some applications additional coatings may still be specified.

Steels to BS EN 10025-5:2019 may be supplied with the additional delivery conditions indicated below.

Values for minimum elongation after fracture are given for nominal thicknesses between 3 mm and 40 mm.

Steels to BS EN 10025-5:2019 are typically available as flat products only. Availability should be confirmed with the supply chain.
