While traditional curricular internationalization efforts rely on departments and faculty to drive such initiatives, this chapter presents a new model of collaboration among UW-Madison School of Education graduate students, faculty, and staff in the Global Engagement Office in which graduate students were the drivers of course-level internationalization. This chapter provides an overview of the new model piloted in June 2020 by the seven collaborators followed by insights and commentary from the faculty and graduate students involved. The three courses involved in this project are presented as three mini-cases. The cases investigate ways to include graduate students in course-level internationalization through the design and development of a new course and changes to existing courses. The chapter concludes with lessons learned and opportunities for improvement that are offered as reflections for those who may seek to implement this model.
