First page of For Everything There is a Season

A couple of weeks ago, just as the New England leaves burst into bright reds and yellows, and that little autumn chill fought through to remind us a new season was coming, we, my husband, Jeremiah, and 9-year-old twin boys, Manny and Rufus, completed our annual ritual of changing out our spring/summer for our fall/winter clothes. As many people who live in spaces with too small closets or too big wardrobes can tell you, this day is filled with lots of activity as the things that no longer fit (the boys for good reasons, for us, not so much) or were kept for reasons unknown (why do I need 10 black cardigans?) are folded and put in bags to be given away and the keepers are put away in various closets and drawers.
