First page of Visions For Using Evaluation to Develop More Equitable Societies

EvalPartners, a global movement to strengthen evaluation capacities and improve people’s lives through evidence based decision making at international, national, regional, and local levels, declared 2015 the International Year of Evaluation in San Paulo Brazil in 2013 (EvalPartners, 2013). After a year of planning, 84 events were organized and participants were encouraged to address four common themes of bridging the gap between the supply side of evaluation (the evaluation community) and the demand side (the needs of policy and decision makers); priorities for a global evaluation agenda; gender responsive evaluations; and developing equity-focused evaluations to help develop more equitable societies.
