This submission was written by Marcellina (Marcy) Angelo and Deborah (Deb) Bicknell, who have worked together over the last 10 years as a part of the Maine Youth Action Network (MYAN). Deb was instrumental in the formation and running of MYAN during the first decade of its formation and implementation. Maine Youth Action Network was then, and is now, a network of powerful youth and partnering adults, with programming that is prevention-based and youth-centric. Maine Youth Action Network offers trainings, supports youth on boards, provides technical assistance, and holds an annual summit, all of which support youth who are creating social change. Marcy was involved with MYAN throughout her high school years and served on the MYAN leadership team for 1 year. Marcy and Deb still work together in the Greater Portland Maine area, doing youth and adult trainings on facilitation, dialogue, and partnership. The following are reflections on their time working together.
