BS EN 10080:2005, BS 4449:2005+A3:2016 and BS 4483:2005
Steel bar and fabric mesh reinforcement are familiar materials within reinforced concrete and composite construction. General material requirements for these elements are given within BS EN 10080:2005, with BS 4449:2005 (bar or coil) and BS 4483:2005 (fabric mesh) referenced for more detailed information regarding UK application. This includes the reinforcing steel grades discussed here.
B500A, B500B and B500C are the three grades included within BS 4449, produced as bar or coil or as welded fabric mesh. They do not have an associated steel number as these are UK grades and specific steel grades are not included in the associated European standard, BS EN 10080:2005.
