The services layer in a digital twin is the top and implementation layer of the digital twin architecture that interprets the knowledge from the bottom layers and enables the interaction between people or society and the data–model integration layer. This chapter will discuss services provided by digital twins for society, such as asset monitoring at the manufacturing asset level, smart facility management at the building level, sustainable community development and environmental management at the city level.
