Reframing the narrow discourse of neoliberal education and anti-immigrant legislation policies that creates the “school-to-sweatshop pipeline” for immigrant students, our analysis centers the collective participation and action of those most affected by global restructuring, a vantage point of la familia. Our discussion focuses on two community partnerships (Mestizo Arts and Activism Collective and the Family School Partnership) as participatory action research interventions, whereby youth and families act as transformative agents within schools and community.
