At California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), the College of Education has created the School Leadership Program (SLP) that is designed to develop and fortify skills among cohorts of K-12 school administrators in a continuous improvement teaching and learning environment. Serving over 17 school districts in the greater Los Angeles region including the nation’s second largest school district, the Los Angeles Unified School District, the SLP has created a leading-edge online program utilizing a lean staff of less than 5 where more than 3,000 students have attended over the past decade. Since its move to an online program in 2006, the SLP has worked closely with Dominguez’s campus technology leaders to leverage innovative approaches that have addressed and mitigated some of the most pressing technology divides which confront the contemporary school administrator.
