The value of assets under management (AuM) of European Robo-advisors is quite modest in comparison with global figures. The general number of Robo-advisor operators in the European wealth management market is comparatively small and is comprised of approximately 73 organizations at the present time.
The center of Robo-advisor in Europe is traditionally located in Great Britain, with the vast majority of providers based in London. However, the DACH region is expanding quickly in this area. There are currently more than 32 Robo-advisors registered in the DACH region and many more in start-up mode.
In terms of AuM, it is fair to note that the company Feelcapital EAFI SL. from Spain (with EUR 1 bn) is the largest market player as of today. Nutmeg from the UK is also a major player with approximately EUR 650 mn in AuM. There are four further companies which have crossed the EUR 100 mn AuM milestone: Scalable Capital GMBH (Germany), CheBanca (Mediobanca Group, Italy) and Moneyfarm (Italy and Great Britain) and Pritle (Netherlands). More companies are expected to cross this milestone; however, as the industry continues to grow, the European market dispersion will change.
