Iwas 21 when I came to the UK for education. I did the equivalent of “A” levels in Bhutan, but they didn’t understand that, so I had to take British “A” levels. I was offered a scholarship to study mathematics at university.
It was terrible actually. It was really bad. Everything was SO big—the city, the underground, the trains. There were SO many people. It just overwhelms you.
And the school . . . it was a crammer! A place to take “A” levels. All foreigners, about 5 or 6 students. It was very strange. You got too much attention.
