Abstract
Tourism is a rapidly growing industry that fosters economic growth through GDP expansion and employment creation. However, the sector’s growth has also resulted in the depletion of resources and degradation of the environment; thus, the industry is shifting toward sustainable tourism practices. This chapter explores the economic benefits of sustainable tourism practices and the substantial role of green technologies. Green technologies, including energy-efficient appliances, waste management systems, and renewable energy sources, would be important in reducing the carbon emissions generated by tourism activities. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, the tourism industry has the potential to balance economic growth alongside the conservation of the environment and the integration of society.
