In this chapter, the author explores moments of personal racialized violence and internalized oppression through a Black feminist endarkened practice of (re)membrance and offers feminist-inspired arts-based embodied engagement as an approach to cultivating a healing-centered educational praxis they have practiced since 2020. The chapter also utilizes a (re)membrance-arts-based inquiry to grapple with forms of psychological, emotional, and psychic distress the author internalized when reflecting on critical moments of identity shaped through education. The chapter is structured through intermodal dialogue with the author expressed in poetic epigraphs before each section to illuminate the movement of voices within the writer and the creative discourse of embodiment.
