Abstract
The tourism industry generates numerous economic and social advantages. Nevertheless, it may cause substantial environmental and cultural damage if it fails to stay in line with sustainable development principles. In this venue, this study analyzes the influence of emerging technologies to enhance resource management and reduce negative environmental effects in the tourism industry. This article attempts to evaluate the influence of swiftly evolving technologies on sustainable development, specifically with their contributions to reducing energy usage, optimizing operations, and customizing tourist experiences. We used the MACTOR technique to identify and evaluate the roles of principal players and strategic objectives within the tourism sector. This enables the identification and analysis of interactions among diverse stakeholders and the overlapping interests or conflicts inherent in their objectives. The findings indicated practical methods to improve the application of new technologies in the tourism industry. This research shows that the use of cutting-edge technology may improve tourist experiences, reduce operational costs, preserve natural and cultural resources, and create sustainable economic opportunities. It provides guidance to policymakers and managers in the tourism industry on how to utilize these technologies to enhance processes and establish sustainable infrastructure, thereby promoting sustainable development in this sector.
