The increased adoption of digital technology is reshaping the tourist industry’s regular tasks and operational strategies which are always changing. The research emphasizes the basic technology skills required for trained individuals to succeed in the rapidly expanding sector of smart tourism. This research deals with fundamental technical skills that have grown greater significance, such as data analytics, digital marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), and security issues. The study analyzes recent advances, technological innovations, and market needs to propose an elaborate framework for the skill sets that will reflect the upcoming labor force of the hospitality industry. The research distinguishes between present skill sets and expected demands through a detailed assessment of market circumstances, case studies, and consultations involving those with expertise. A strategy utilizing multiple methods was used, which included surveys and interviews with business representatives from diverse sectors, increasing the credibility of the findings. This research intends to provide information to governing bodies, higher learning institutions, and corporate management on the precise digital capabilities required to train tomorrow’s workforce, resulting in a more resilient and dynamic tourism industry. The findings highlight the need of responsive learning and ongoing training in building trust and increasing efficiency in the contemporary tourism industry. This study contributes a greater understanding of how technological progress affects skill learning and makes specific recommendations for trainers, industry professionals, and legislative authorities to create an employee base capable of handling the next era of smart tourism.
