This chapter makes a case for more engaged inclusion of the core and applied subjects of philosophy into the academic curriculum of university degree programs in Nigeria. Its argument is that the structured inclusion of philosophy's core contents and modules in the academic curriculum enhances students’ ability to think critically and engage in scholarly rigorous argumentation. Structured inclusion of philosophy's core modules can also not only enhance students’ scholarly inquisitiveness and disposition to seek knowledge excellence, but also fosters intellectual curiosity, moral reflection, and the ability to approach complex issues from multiple perspectives. These, in the long run, can enhance the quality of graduates emerging from the Nigerian university education system.
