Many countries, especially developing ones, suffer from the repercussions of extreme weather phenomena. Egypt is one of the most affected countries by climate change despite being one of the lowest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. So, this chapter sheds light on the relationship between climate change, resulting natural disasters, the most affected sectors in Egypt, prominent global and local statistics on climate disaster losses, the challenges Egypt faces in this regard, the efforts and practices adopted by the Egyptian government to adapt to climate change and mitigate disaster risks, and the opportunities for cooperation among member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to overcome the effects of climate change-induced natural disasters.
