Abstract
This study explored the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in enhancing sports content creation for Bahrain Sports Channel by evaluating their impact on program quality and audience engagement. It focused on leveraging AI for sports data analysis, content development, and future forecasting to improve the channel’s performance and competitiveness. Drawing on relevant prior research about AI applications in media, particularly sports media, the study employed theories like the Media Richness Theory, which highlights the importance of rich media in improving communication quality, and the Diffusion of Innovations Theory, which helps individual behaviors toward technological advancements. The findings suggest that AI can significantly improve media production processes, including automating news editing, analyzing data, and enhancing audience interaction. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and insufficient professional training in Arab countries persist. The study posed research questions and specific objectives to demonstrate how AI technologies could drive a transformative shift in the programs of Bahrain Sports Channel.
