CONFERENCE ON CIVIL ENGINEERING PROBLEMS IN THE COLONIES

The President said that the present Conference was the second of its type to be held and, on behalf of the Institution of Civil Engineers, he wished to welcome all those attending it to London and to the Institution building. These Conferences were intended primarily for those in the Colonial Engineering Service and others engaged on work of a similar character. As would be seen from the syllabus, the intention was that the present Conference should follow generally the lines of the previous one, and include technical visits, the discussion of Papers, and a certain amount of sociality.
