A computational inverse analysis of coupled water and chloride transport in cement mortar is given in the paper. On the basis of an experiment performed under the conditions of one-sided chloride-in-water solution uptake by dry specimens, both the apparent chloride diffusion coefficient as a function of chloride concentration and the apparent moisture diffusivity as a function of moisture content are determined. For the sake of comparison, moisture diffusivity is also measured for distilled water under the same conditions.
