Strength is the basic concrete's qualitative index that defines reliability and economy of concrete and reinforced concrete products and constructions. It is not fully examined due to its complexity. Authors of this paper expound their opinion and researches over the question above. This paper will allow to broaden the presentations of internal bonds energy in a material with a real structure as the basis of its strength, stress-strain behavior, integrity and resistance to various factors (combined action of external loads and/or environment). Knowledge of physical essence of concrete destruction process will permit to design reliable and economical reinforced concrete structures for different application.
