In this study, experimental and analytical investigations on following properties of armor blocks on a slope are carried out, (1) spatial position and wave condition which bring about the shock wave force, (2) the dynamic behavior of a block under the shock wave force, and a method to estimate the reliability of blocks placed in 2 layers on a slope is developed.
