At the end of 2020, the year Barica Marentič Požarnik celebrated her 80th birthday, her book titled My Life, My Learning was published. In it, she presented “the story of my learning, my personal and professional development.” In her narrative-style writing, she presents an overview and critical reflections on her life and professional activities, with the aim of reconstructing and giving meaning to her development as a person and a teaching professional. The book was written with the question of whether any of her activities had left meaningful traces and whether she had contributed to more effective learning, schooling, life, and coexistence. All of this is entirely consistent with the humanistic orientation and philosophy of the ISATT community. At the same time, Barica Marentič Požarnik's autobiography offers a historical and critical overview of the developmental processes in Slovenian education from the 1960s to the present day.
