Practicability and sustainability of scientific entrepreneurship owe much to the science of possibility that embraces the entire range of knowledge production and grasps those innovative aspects that facilitate rather than preclude the possibility of alternative paths to those already trodden. Possibility accelerates the time of perception of an event outside the norm. Putting aside the toolbox with its wooden table of rules that shapes our beliefs, one unveils the landscape of the possible and ventures into conjecture to discover unknown territories. In contrast to the realist, the emphasis on the freedom of human action in the use of time and the creative disposition prompts the possibilist to wonder how things could be different from the past under the pressure of short-term results demanded by the stock market and the ideology of value creation for the sole benefit of shareholders. The possibilist perceives the seed of that idea emerging through the dirty surface of impossibility. Then the time comes when the idea must be watered and fertilised until the day comes to reap its rewards.
