First page of Mental Health in the Workplace: A Case Study for Collective Responsibility

Janet Nurse is a 33-year-old “rising star” with the Sullivan and Pilgrim (S&P) group. She graduated from London School of Economics with a first class honors undergraduate degree in finance and accounting and went on to obtain her professional accounting designation, or Certified General Accountant (CGA), by the age of 23. Throughout her studies, she worked with the highly respected S&P accounting firm, starting as a junior auditor. Through her dedication and commitment to excellence, Janet was promoted in five short years to Senior Accountant. As a motivated and goal-oriented individual, Janet was eventually promoted to her current post of Chief Finance Officer with the objective of becoming a partner in the firm by the time she was 35 years old. Her good work ethic, efficiency, and relatively speedy career trajectory caused her to be highly sought after by many of S&P competitors, but she remained loyal to her employer.
