First page of The Role of Female Entrepreneurship to the Development of Agritourism in Greece

Entrepreneurship is a dynamic process of vision, change, and creation, and presupposes the dedication of energy and passion to create and implement new ideas and creative solutions. It includes the following components: (1) taking risk in the form of time, rights, or career, (2) ability to create an experienced business team, (3) creative ability to gather and classify the necessary resources, (4) skill to draw up a business plan, and (5) ability to recognize opportunities. The key building blocks of business sustainability are money, the market, and management to start a business (Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research, 2019). The importance of entrepreneurship and especially of women is growing rapidly in the ever-changing economic, social, and cultural environment. Women's entrepreneurship is considered a key factor in the development of countries. Women entrepreneurs have as a model and as a rule the change, they believe that this will lead to the prosperity of their business. They are always looking for change, responding to it and taking advantage of it (Drucker,, 2014). The family business is a business managed and governed by members of the same family or by a few families in a sustainable way throughout the family's generations (Elmo, Arcese, Valeri, Poponi, & Pacchera, 2020). Many women combine motherhood with entrepreneurship, balancing the role of motherhood and entrepreneurship. Their motivation is the altruistic desire to create a better environment for their family and community. The development of technology and the possibilities of the Internet enable mothers who work from home to send to the market their products (General Secretariat for Gender Equality, 2016). Economies characterized by high levels of women's entrepreneurial activity are more resilient to financial crises and have less economic slowdown (Global Research Research Association, 2017). Also, network science plays a main role in sustainable tourism (Baggio&Valeri,, 2020; Valeri & Baggio, 2021) in small, medium-sized, and large innovative businesses (Arcese, Valeri, Poponi, & Elmo, 2020; Valeri,, 2015, 2016; Valeri & Baggio, 2020a, 2020b, 2020c).
