TRANSPORTATION AND TRANS-NATIONAL PROJECTS

Most historians, anthropologists and even some of our transport planners claim that the invention or discovery of the wheel ranks among the great breakthroughs that helped shape our society. And much of our transportation is totally reliant on that marvelous discovery.

Transportation, especially trans-national transportation - going beyond its boundaries has been the life-blood of Great Britain ever since the Roman legions and the Norse rulers used transnational transportation to pay their visits to this island nation. These excursions, of course, were water-borne but the conquests were secured with the construction of roads, some of which are still in partial evidence and use today.
