Today, almost every aspect of life is shaped by global factors. The advancements in communication technology, the rise of multinational companies, the proliferation of global trade agreements, and widespread migration means that how we live, how and where we work, and how we enjoy our leisure time are all influenced by the action or inaction of people on a global scale. The pervasive impact of globalization is evident, yet it remains largely underrepresented in dominant theories of leadership. Leadership is still researched and taught, for the most part, from an Anglo-Western-male capitalistic perspective. But the existing paradigm of leadership must be challenged if leadership research and training is to remain relevant and impactful. This book is that challenge.
