Nils Conradi was born in December 1950 and raised in several different parts of Sweden. In 1980, Nils married Åsa, who is a general practitioner. They have two sons. Nils graduated from medical school in 1976, got his Ph.D. in 1980, and was appointed Associate Professor in Experimental Neuropathology in 1986. Between 1993 and 2002, Nils held a position as Senior lecturer and worked as head of the laboratory for Clinical pathology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
Since 2002, he has been the head of the Regional Tumour Registry and Oncologic Centre, now Regional Cancer Centre West. The Centre supports quality-driven development of clinical cancer care pathways in western Sweden with a population of 1.7 million. The work is based on a learning platform for customer and process orientation using clinical guidelines and quality follow-up.
