Discussion on Papers 3 and 4

Mr Lalli (Paper 4) Of the structures described in the Paper, three such units have already been installed in 1976. The first was on 18 May, the second on 2 June and the third on 16 September. The fourth is scheduled to start its 2 month's tow to Loango, off the Congo, on 21 November 1976.

Mr Lalli's excellent Paper indicates some of the innovations and ideas that are necessary in such a new enterprise as offshore activities. Regarding damage stability, which I was glad to see considered, I wonder whether the damage included all of one cylinder or, noting there are horizontal partitions in the main floating cylinders, was it one or two compartments which were considered to be flooded in the analysis ?
