FOREWARD

The Symposium was the first whole day event to be presented by the Western Branch of the Society during the inaugural year of the formation of the Branch. The success of the Symposium was due to the enthusiastic support received from the Session Chairman, authors and delegates. The Branch Committee wish to gratefully acknowledge the valuable assistance given by the Central Electricity Generating Board and the untiring efforts of the organising committee.
