We the editing team would like to acknowledge that this anthology was conceived and co-created on Turtle Island, in Tkaronto, what some may know as Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We acknowledge the land that many of editors and contributors are on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. We honour the continual caretaking, resistance, regeneration and re-membering that they have poured into in terms of the protection of land and waterways of both the past and present. We like to acknowledge that this land is also home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
