PAPER 40 "Irradiation Performance of HTR Fuel

Pins", K. Prince and J. M. Hartog

Presentation of Paper 40 by K. Prince UKAEA Risley

Over the last few years there has been a variety of designs of prismatic fuel elements for the high temperature reactor, from the hollow rod fuel pin to the multi-hole graphite block fuel elements. Although the latter has now been chosen by the UK nuclear industry as its preferred design, the majority of fuel development in support of the UK HTR has been concentrated on the previous reference design, which was the Tubular Interacting Pin.
