Simon L. Albrecht is Program Director of the Organizational Psychology program at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Simon’s teaching, research, and practice interests are in the areas of work engagement, worker well being, organizational development and change, leadership development, culture and climate, and organizational politics. Simon’s Handbook of Employee Engagement: Perspectives, Issues, Research and Practice is widely cited, and he has published on engagement, well being, politics, and performance in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Simon also has numerous book chapters in print, and regularly presents at international conferences.
Zinta S. Byrne is a Full Professor of Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Colorado State University. Her research interests are in employee engagement and retention, organizational culture, organizational (in)justice and politics, and other related topics associated with the employee–organization relationship. She has published articles and chapters in psychology and management journals and books, reviews for and serves on a number of editorial boards, and is the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Managerial Psychology. She has authored two books: Organizational Psychology and Behavior: An Integrated Approach to Understanding the Workplace (2015), and Understanding Employee Engagement: Implications for Theory, Research, and Practice (2015). Dr. Byrne is also co-editor of Purpose and Meaning in the Workplace, published by APA in 2013. Through her private practice, Atniz Consulting, LLC, Byrne consults with a variety of organizations on employee engagement, organizational culture, and is an executive coach.
Emily D. Campion is a doctoral student at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, in the department of Organization and Human Resources. She has published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice, and International Journal of Intercultural Relations. Her research interests include identity work, workplace diversity, and personnel selection practices.
Kaitlyn DeGhetto is Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She received a Ph.D. in Management from Florida State University and her M.B.A. and B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Florida. Her research interests include global strategy, corporate governance, and acquisition processes. Kaitlyn’s work has been published in Academy of Management Perspectives, Long Range Planning, and Africa Journal of Management, among other outlets.
Amos Drory is a Professor Emeritus of Organizational Psychology from Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He is currently a Professor and Provost at the Peres Academic Center in Israel. He has published research in various areas such as work motivation, impression management, organizational conflict, and organizational politics. His current research focuses on emotional intelligence, abusive behavior by supervisors, and organizational politics and the effectiveness of virtual, multinational teams.
Gerald R. Ferris is the Francis Eppes Professor of Management, Professor of Psychology, and Professor of Sport Management at Florida State University. He received a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before moving to Florida State, Ferris served on the faculties at Texas A&M University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Mississippi. He has research interests in the areas of social influence processes in human resources systems, and is the author of numerous articles. He served as the founding editor of the annual series, Research in Personnel and Human Resources Management, from 1981 to 2003. Ferris has been the recipient of a number of distinctions and honors. In 2001, he was the recipient of the Heneman Career Achievement Award, and in 2010, he received the Thomas A. Mahoney Mentoring Award, both from the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management.
Wayne A. Hochwarter is the Jim Moran Professor of Organizational Behavior at Florida State University and a Professorial Fellow at The Australia Catholic University. He has published over 100 scientific and applied articles covering a wide range of topics including employee entitlement, worker engagement, job stress, layoffs, workplace politics, abusive work behaviors, personal accountability, optimism, and leadership-focused motivation strategies. His research examining stress, politics, and work attachment can be found in the Administrative Science Quarterly, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, the Academy of Management Review, the Journal of Applied Psychology, and the Journal of Management. In addition, his research has been the subject of discussions in major business/social publications such as Business Week; domestic newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and the Miami Herald; international newspapers such as the Times of India, China Daily, and the Daily Mail – UK; and news/radio programs including National Public Radio, Minnesota Public Radio, MSNBC – Insana Show, and ABC Evening News.
Erin M. Landells is completing her Ph.D. in organizational politics at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Erin’s interest in this field was sparked through her postgraduate studies of psychology and her roles working in a variety of government organizational settings. Erin has authored numerous book chapters and journal articles in publications such as the Handbook of Organizational Politics, Human Resource Management Review, and the Journal of Business and Psychology. Erin has postgraduate qualifications in Psychology from Monash University, a Bachelor of Education (Psychology) from the University of Melbourne, and certification in training and assessment. Erin is also a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach, an accredited Team Management Systems (TMS) practitioner, and a PRINCEII project management professional. Erin is the Director of Find my niche – a consulting company dedicated to helping people understand their strengths, and be engaged in and inspired by their work.
Steven G. Manning is currently a doctoral student at Colorado State University in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology program, where he earned his Master’s degree. He teaches undergraduate courses in the Psychology and Management departments at CSU, and online graduate courses in the Masters of Applied Industrial and Organizational Psychology program at CSU. His primary research interests include employee engagement and disengagement, motivation, and work-life balance. Mr. Manning presents regularly at the annual conference for the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists and has published in the Journal of Managerial Psychology.
Galit Meisler received her Ph.D. from the University of Haifa in 2009. Currently, she is the head of the M.A. Program in Organizational Development & Consulting at the Peres Academic Center, and a senior lecturer in that institution. Her Ph.D. dissertation won the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award for 2010 from The Israeli Association for Political Science. Moreover, she received a Post-Doctoral Scholarship for 2010–2012 from the Israel Council for Higher Education. She has published articles and book chapters in the fields of emotional intelligence and organizational politics. Her current research interests include emotional intelligence, organizational politics, emotions in the workplace, and organizational behavior.
Zachary A. Russell is Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Williams College of Business at Xavier University. He received a Ph.D. in Management from Florida State University and his M.B.A. and B.A. in Business Administration from Western Washington University. Russell’s research interests include reputation, social influence, and attitudes toward labor unions. His work has been published in Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance, and Journal of Labor Research, among other outlets.
Paul E. Spector is a Distinguished Professor of Industrial–Organizational (I-O) Psychology at the University of South Florida. He holds a courtesy professor appointment in the Muma College of Business at USF, where he teaches in the executive DBA program. He is also director of the NIOSH funded Sunshine Education and Research Center’s Occupational Health Psychology doctoral training program. He is the Associate Editor for Point/Counterpoint for Journal of Organizational Behavior, Associate Editor for Work & Stress, and is on the editorial board for Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. For more than 40 years, he has studied the impact of workplace stress on employee physical and psychological health. His work has appeared in major research outlets in the field of I-O psychology, occupational health psychology, and management.
Darren C. Treadway is an Associate Professor of Organization and Human Resources at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. He is a Research Fellow at the Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness, Founding Fellow in the US Academy on Workplace Bullying, Mobbing, and Abuse, and a Faculty Affiliate of the Alberti Center for Bullying Abuse Prevention. He earned his Ph.D. from Florida State University, his MBA from Virginia Tech, and his B.S. from Concord College. Dr. Treadway’s research interests include social influence processes in organizations, with particular reference to organizational politics, political skill, leadership, and workplace toxicity. His work has been published in scholarly journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Human Relations and recently co-edited Politics in Organizations: Theory and Research Considerations. He is Associate Editor at Frontiers on Psychology – Organizational Psychology. He is also a member of the Editorial Board for The Leadership Quarterly and Journal of Organizational Behavior.
Eran Vigoda-Gadot is the Dean of the Herta & Paul Amir Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Haifa, Israel. He is Professor of Public Administration and Management at the School of Political Science, former Head of the School, and founder of the Center for Public Management and Policy (CPMP). Vigoda-Gadot is one of the leading public administration and management researchers in Israel and well-recognized internationally. He is the author and co-author of more than 170 articles and book chapters, 11 books and symposia, as well as many other scholarly presentations and working papers. His studies have been funded by the Israeli Science Foundation, the European Community Program, and the German-Israeli Foundation, to name only a few. He has received an award for excellence from the Academy of Management Association and been recognized by other associations and publishing houses for his studies and publications over the years. Vigoda-Gadot is a member of several national and international consulting committees working closely with public institutions and local municipalities and also serves on the boards of various scientific associations in Europe and North America. He has presented his work at many universities globally.
James W. Weston earned his Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Colorado State University, where he is currently a doctoral student. His research interests include employee engagement, cross-cultural psychology, and organizational culture and change. He is currently a researcher and project manager for an NSF grant looking at organizational change. Mr. Weston regularly presents at the annual conference for the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists and has published in the Journal of Applied Psychology.
Lisa V. Williams earned her Ph.D. from the School of Management at The State University of New York at Buffalo, and is an Associate Professor of Management in Niagara University’s College of Business Administration. She teaches in the areas of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, and focuses her research on several areas including interpersonal trust, leadership, and personality. Her work is published in refereed outlets such as Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, and Leadership Frontier Series. Dr. Williams is active in the university community, provides industry training, and greatly enjoys working with students as they pursue their own academic and professional goals. She also serves her local community through various volunteer activities.
