No. 1, Greek Street, Soho, 22nd January, 1855. Gentlemen,

I beg to submit for your information the details of my calculations, as required by the accompanying motion of Mr. F. O. Ward, on the 9th instant,—

" 1. That Mr. Bazalgette do set forth fully, at his earliest convenience, for the Commissioners' information, the mode in which he has applied Eytelwein's formula, and the calculations he has employed in obtaining the data on which he has relied in calculating the quantities of sewage and rainfall received and discharged by the several intercepting tunnels recommended in his Report.
