Results are reported of piezocone measurements of tip resistance and pore pressures in four locations. Laboratory and field data are presented. Parameters derived from these results are considered as a function of the over consolidation ratio of the soil. The initial distribution of excess pore pressure before dissipation is also examined and compared with a theoretical prediction. The importance of pore pressure measurement is discussed.
