It is and always will be difficult to quantify the value of design in retail and branding. With this book, we hope we have enabled you all to go one step further in valuing design in retail and branding. Each in their proper way, every chapter of the book has contributed to this overall goal so that together, we have been able to supplement knowledge on the value of design in marketing, retail and branding.

Design has always played an important role in our lives. The time in which this book was composed and published (COVID-19 pandemic), wherein we all from time to time have been confined in our houses, cities, regions and countries, demonstrates the value of design. It therefore seems obvious to reflect for a moment on the changes COVID-19 has brought us regarding retail design.
