When recycled materials are used as concrete aggregates, one has to regard the larger scattering in the concrete characteristics. In this article, probabilistic calculations are presented for typical R/C beams with application of different scattering degrees ON the concrete compressive strength. The worsening influence of the larger scattering in this parameter on the structure safety, leads to a proposed increase of the characteristic values of recycled aggregate concrete, when compared to conventional concrete.
