About the Editors

Sameerah T. Saeed is a Ph.D. holder from Newcastle University, UK in Theoretical Linguistics. She acted as the Director of Quality Assurance at Tishk International University, Kurdistan Region, Iraq during 2017–2021. She has also served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kurdistan Region-Iraq during 2016−2017. During her role as Director of Quality Assurance, she has contributed to the establishment of quality assurance systems in Kurdistan higher education institutions. From 2007 to 2009, she was the Program Assistant for the Women Political Parties department at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), Iraq. She is the Country Delegate of Kurdistan-Iraq at the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association (HETL). Her research interests include issues of higher education, quality assurance, universities ranking, theoretical linguistics, syntactic-semantic analysis of various grammatical categories, linguistic typology, innovation in learning, service-learning, and refugees access to higher education. She is part of several joint projects and the author of several articles published in international journals related to these topics.
