The refugee issue is considered one of the most disturbing issues for countries and the contemporary world because of its political, social, and economic repercussions, as well as its humanitarian ones. Their numbers have increased in the past 10 years to more than 80 million refugees, according to the 2022 report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, against the backdrop of an increase in armed conflicts, wars, and other causes such as desertification, drought, and deteriorating economic conditions, with which people were forced to flee and emigrate. This scientific paper poses a fundamental question: How can the cultural approach be employed in confronting the social challenges of refugees in our present time? The paper consists of an introduction and two main sections. The first axis deals with refugees' issues and sufferings, and the second axis discusses: the stake of the cultural approach in solving the refugee crisis (the concept of the cultural approach/mechanisms of culture/methodologies and methods for employing culture to confront this crisis), and in the conclusion, the results and recommendations.
