This chapter explores how generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT 4o, can serve as a copilot in the analysis of business cases within courses that cover the topic of global leadership. Drawing on the example of the Computex Corporation case, we illustrate how AI can assist students in preparing for in-class discussions by simulating three archetypical student profiles: “lazy survivors,” “good faith learners,” and “overachievers.” Our findings indicate that AI can significantly enhance case preparation by fostering critical thinking and deeper engagement, particularly among more motivated students. However, reliance on AI may also risk superficial learning among less engaged students. We discuss the implications for teaching design, suggesting that instructors adapt their methods to leverage AI's potential while maintaining rigorous academic standards. This includes developing more sophisticated prompt libraries and employing targeted in-class questioning to stimulate deeper analysis and discussion. We conclude by reflecting on the dual nature of AI in education as both a transformative tool and a potential crutch.
