Abstract
The purpose of this chapter was to explore and address the limitations of ChatGPT especially with regard to research and education. To understand this aspect of conversational AI both primary and secondary data has been used. The primary data was collected while testing – how the ChatGPT operates on its own, and then compared with the findings that already existed in the repertoire of past research on the said topic of research. Secondary research data was used to substantiate the results obtained through primary research. In this chapter, it was in the form of articles, documents, books, journals, etc. This also included people's experience that they had published about using ChatGPT. The findings highlighted the current pitfalls that an individual could fall into if they were not careful enough while using the app. In addition to this, this chapter provides tangible do's and don'ts while using this conversational AI or any similar AI, especially in reference to the ethical consideration in a professional set up. Through this chapter the researchers would like to help contribute to the already existing knowledge about chatbots like ChatGPT, provide pointers that practitioners can use to better the current experience or find ways to create new applications which addresses the current need gaps that exist. This chapter addresses the ethical issues that arise when using an artificial intelligence smart enough to do or guide an individual through the entire report or project.
